#ShelfLife - March 24, 2017

This week in the #ShelfLife we announced that Patrick Phillips, author of Blood at the Root: A Racial Cleansing in America, will speak and sign copies of his book at an event co-sponsored by Forsyth County Public Library and the Cumming First United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 8 at 4:00 p.m.

The event will be held at the church, located at 770 Canton Highway, Cumming. The book is available for check out at the library in printeBookCD Audiobook, and eAudiobook formats. Barnes & Noble will have copies of the book available for purchase at the event.

Other books in our #ShelfLife feed this week took us on a trip to Havana, Cuba and back in time to ancient Rome. But the most fun we had this week came during storytimes at the Cumming Library, where our youngest patrons enjoyed "horsing around" with our youth services staff. We had so much fun reading horse-themed books that we wanted to share a list of ten books for pony-loving patrons on our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten blog.

We hope you've found a good book to read this weekend; but, if you haven't, we'll be here waiting for you at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Happy Friday, friends!
